• Model Output Data: The results generated by the AI analysis (such as detected color bands and calculated resistance values) are collected alongside the corresponding images for model training and improvement purposes.

We do not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or device identifiers for the purpose of identifying you individually.

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

• AI Model Improvement: Resistor scan images and their corresponding AI outputs are used to train and refine future versions of our computer vision models, improving accuracy and reliability.
• App Performance & Stability: We may use logging and crash reporting tools (such as Firebase Crashlytics) to monitor app performance, diagnose issues, and improve stability.
• Analytics: We may use Firebase analytics to understand general usage patterns and improve the user experience.

All resistor image analysis is performed locally on your device. The App uses a 4-step computer vision pipeline that runs entirely on your smartphone — no images are sent to a remote server for real‑time processing.

However, after processing is complete, the captured photos and the model's output data are transmitted to our servers for the sole purpose of improving future AI models. This data is not linked to any personal identity.

The App may use the following third‑party services:

• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for analytics, logging, and crash reporting (Crashlytics). Firebase may collect certain device and usage data as described in Firebase's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect device information and use advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your usage of the App and other apps or websites. You can manage your ad preferences through your device settings or by visiting Google Ads Settings.

The AI Resistor Scanner App is suitable for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children. The data we collect (resistor images and model outputs) is not linked to any individual identity.

Because we use Google AdMob, ads shown to users identified as children (based on device settings or age‑gating) will comply with Google's policies for child‑directed content, which restrict personalized advertising.

Resistor scan images and model output data are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — primarily for AI model training and improvement. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
