Terms of Service

The App is suitable for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13. If you are a minor, you may use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you have obtained any necessary parental or guardian consent.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a compatible iOS device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its underlying technology
• Attempt to extract the source code, AI models, or training data from the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the App

When using the App, you agree that you will not:

• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, other accounts, or computer systems connected to the App
• Use the App to transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to interact with the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App — including but not limited to the software, AI models, computer vision pipeline, algorithms, design, graphics, text, and other content — are and shall remain the exclusive property of Ausonio Algorithmics.

The resistor scan images and model output data you generate through the App may be used by us to train and improve future AI models, as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and process the scan data you generate for the purpose of improving our technology.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key points include:

• Local Processing: All resistor image analysis is performed locally on your device through a 4-step computer vision pipeline.
• Data Transmission: After processing, captured photos and model outputs are transmitted to our servers solely for AI model improvement.
• No Personal Data: We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, or location.

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

The App integrates with third-party services that are subject to their own terms and privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google): Used for analytics, logging, and crash reporting. Subject to Firebase Terms of Service.
• Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements within the App. Ads may be personalized based on device information and advertising identifiers. Subject to Google Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk.

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• The resistor readings and color code identifications will be 100% accurate in all conditions
• The App will be compatible with all iOS devices or versions
• Any defects in the App will be corrected

You acknowledge that the AI-generated resistor readings are provided as a reference tool and should be verified independently for critical applications.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AUSONIO ALGORITHMICS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Damages arising from inaccurate resistor readings or misidentified color codes
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any other damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ausonio Algorithmics and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Your reliance on resistor readings provided by the App for critical or safety-sensitive applications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App and on our website at ausonioalg.com. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which Ausonio Algorithmics is established.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
